The first version of Wegner's essential rocking chair, the J16, was designed in 1944. A few years later it became part of a programme to popularise the idea of simple modernism led by Børge Mogensen during the 1940s in Denmark. The chair has been in production ever since it was launched and today it is a natural part of Fredericia’s collection.
